Florida used to be a major film and television hub. Productions like Scarface, Miami Vice, Key Largo, Where the Boys Are, Flipper, Burn Notice, Bloodline, Bad Boys and countless others put Florida on screens worldwide.
Then incentives disappeared, other states became competitive, and we lost the spotlight along with thousands of jobs and

Feature Florida Partnerships supports productions through a structured investment approach. To qualify, productions must:
• Film in Florida
• Hire Florida residents
• Work with Florida businesses
• Submit budgets, reporting, and compliance documents
• Demonstrate economic return or cultural/tourism benefit

Funding may take the form of equity, loans, grants, revenue participation, or recoupable advances. All revenue earned is reinvested directly into future Florida productions
OUR STRUCTURE
We are developing two coordinated components that build a sustainable industry:
1. The South Florida Film Fund One
A regional film investment fund designed to support independent film and television projects with budgets between $2.5M and $10M. This fund prioritizes capital preservation, transparency, and returns that grow the program year after year.
2. “Create It Here!”
A professional development program that supports Florida creatives, film students, veterans, and underrepresented talent from script through production.
Together, these efforts build both sides of the industry:
the work AND the workforce.
ECONOMIC IMPACT
A single mid-budget production generates:
• More than $250,000 per week in local spending
• Over 100 full-time production jobs
• Additional roles in hospitality, security, transportation, catering, and local services
• Long-term revenue from film-induced tourism and repeat productions
This isn’t theoretical. It’s proven economic return.
ACCOUNTABILITY AND OVERSIGHT
Feature Florida Partnerships is operated under strict transparency standards including:
• Public board oversight
• Annual CPA audits
• Conflict-of-interest reporting
• Five-year state program review
• Administrative expenses capped at 12%
This structure ensures the program remains responsible, credible, and focused on return—not politics or subsidies.
